Mark your calendar; the Empire State Brewing and Music Festival is back! This single evening gated event will be held on Friday July 09, 2004, between 5pm and 10pm in Clinton Square, Syracuse, New York.
Located in the heart of downtown Syracuse, the multi-million dollar newly renovated Clinton Square Festival Site will be the home to the Empire State's second annual outdoor brewing festival. Admission will give access to sample over 200 different beers from 60 national and international breweries. Other brewery related businesses are also in attendance. In addition, a wine tent will offer over thirty New York State wines and Champagnes and a separate area will be dedicated to malted beverages.
In addition to the beverage component of the festival, music and food will play a prominent role. Five of NYS finest bands will perform on two stages throughout the evening. The food offerings will diverge somewhat from the usual festival/carnival fare with creative American and international cuisine offered by five local restaurants.
The overall intent of the festival is to highlight the rich brewing tradition in Central New York by offering the adult community a unique evening of outdoor entertainment in Downtown Syracuse with a varied sampling of handcrafted brews, unique wines, high quality food and great music. The many components of this event were designed to attract not only the beer aficionado, but also the diverse adult population.
A limited amount of tickets are available. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 beginning June 14th from participating ticket sale locations. Tickets may be purchased at the festival gates for $25 if available. Reduced price "designated driver" tickets will be available at the gate for $10. Advance ticket purchasers are automatically eligible for an all expenses paid trip to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. The Post Standard will be conducting a brewing competition whereby festival patrons can select their favorite beers in specific style categories.
The proceeds of the event will benefit Project Children.
